Getting started
Do I need an account?
No. The app works the moment you open it. Picking a username is only needed for scoreboards, friends, groups and churches, and linking a Google account is only needed if you want your progress to follow you to a new phone.
How do I join my church?
Your church shares a six-character code, usually in the bulletin or from the pulpit. Open the Community tab, choose My church → Join, and enter the code. If the code is refused, the church may have reached its plan's member limit; ask your church admin.
Why did my streak reset?
Streaks count consecutive days you played the Daily Challenge. Today stays "pending" until you play it, so the streak is alive until midnight. If you miss a full day, it starts over.
Premium
I bought Premium but it is locked again.
Open any Premium feature and tap Restore purchases on the Premium screen. Restoring uses the Google Play account on your phone, so make sure it is the one that made the purchase. If it still does not unlock, email us with your Support ID and the Google Play order number.
How do I cancel a subscription?
In the Google Play app, tap your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Bible Recall → Cancel. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are handled by Google Play.
Does my church give me Premium?
Members of a church with a paid plan get Premium included while they belong to that church. If your church's plan lapses, Premium continues for a 30-day grace period.
Your account
Linking a Google account
Settings → Account → Sign in with Google. Your existing progress, scores and purchases stay exactly as they are, and from then on your progress is backed up to your account automatically whenever you leave the app. Settings → Account → Progress backup shows when it last ran; tap it to back up right away. Your private prayer journal is never backed up.
Moving to a new phone, or reinstalling
Install Bible Recall, open Settings → Account → Sign in with Google with the same Google account, and choose Switch account. The app then offers to restore your backup: verse mastery, streaks, favorites, game bests, achievements and settings. After restoring, it closes once; open it again and everything is back.
"That Google account already has a Bible Recall profile"
You linked that Google account on another phone or an earlier install. The app offers to switch to that profile, and then to restore its backed-up progress, which replaces the progress on this phone.
Deleting your account
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. Confirm once. This permanently removes your profile, username, friend code, friendships, group and church memberships, shared prayers and responses, scoreboard rows, progress backup and the sign-in account, and then clears the app's data on your phone. It cannot be undone.
Without the app: email biblerecallapp@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Bible Recall account" from the Google account you linked, or include your Support ID. We delete the account within 30 days and confirm by reply. Purchases made through Google Play stay with your Google account under Google's terms.
Deleting some of your data, but keeping your account
You do not have to delete everything. In the app you can delete any shared prayer you posted, remove friends, leave a group or church, clear your public bio, and unlink your Google account, which removes the stored email address. For anything else, such as your scoreboard rows, your prayer responses or your reports, email biblerecallapp@gmail.com with your Support ID and say what you want removed. We do it within 30 days and confirm by reply.
Community
Reporting and blocking
On any shared prayer or member profile, open the ⋯ menu to Report or Block. Blocked people disappear from your feeds, friends and standings and are not told. Church posts have a small flag icon for reporting. We review every report.
Something in a question looks wrong
Tap the flag on the question and tell us what you saw. Those reports go straight to the person who maintains the question bank.
